Anna Damn her

No, I'm not swearing at you, but I sure did get your attention. I'm simply kicking off our first formula - Anadama Bread. For those of you from the Northeast, you'll appreciate the history of this yummy treat of molasses and cornbread.

Anadama Bread which is pronounced (ann-a-dam-a) possibly originated in Massachusetts as far back as 1915. Both Rockport and Gloucester were mentioned as the original towns of this story. Apparently a fisherman's wife named Anna, gave her husband the same meal each night - cornmeal and molassas. One night the fisherman got so angry that he tossed the two ingredients with yeast and flour and made a bread in the oven muttering to himself "Anna damn her!"....and there you have it friends - Anadama Bread. So the moral of this story - provide those husbands with a variety of meals and get baking.

Just some fun trivia (I think?) to get us started. Looking forward to hearing from all of you. And Happy Birthday Rebekah Eekhoff!
